BROOKLYN – BSE Global has created two new key executive positions with the hiring of Dr. Maurice Stinnett as Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion and Steve Powers as Vice President of Security. Additionally, BSE has hired Bryan Calka as Senior Vice President of Global Partnership Sales.

“These three new executives are vital to the continued development of our business,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of BSE Global. “Security and Diversity & Inclusion have been a major focus for our company and we are thrilled to make two strategic hires in those areas. In order to bolster our sponsorship sales, we’ve brought in Bryan, a leading sales executive in the market.”

As Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion, Dr. Stinnett will create innovative programming tailored for inclusion and cultural competence by providing leadership and support across BSE brands. Dr. Stinnett was previously at Cleveland State University, where he served as the Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement. Prior to Cleveland State, Dr. Stinnett served as the Dean of Students at Central State University and was the Chairman for the World Leadership Program, a White House Initiative under the Obama administration designed to bridge cultures and encourage inclusive dialogue among universities in the Middle East and the US.

As Vice President of Security, Powers will oversee security for BSE venues, teams, and employees. He joins the company with nearly 38 years of New York City Police Department experience across the boroughs of Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. He began his career on patrol in the 67th Precinct and was promoted seven times to his final position as Commanding Officer of Patrol Borough Brooklyn South.

As SVP of Global Partnership Sales, Calka will be responsible for securing new sponsorship partners for the Brooklyn Nets, Barclays Center, and NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, and other affiliated properties. With over 18 years of experience, Calka joins BSE from the New York Yankees, where he spent 10 years and most recently served as Vice President of Partnerships. There, he oversaw and managed the Partnership Sales and Activation teams, and secured high-profile accounts such as Ford, Audi, Wendy’s, and Wix.com. Before the Bronx, Calka was a vital part of the sales team at Washington Sports & Entertainment, the multi-faceted organization managing the Washington Wizards, Verizon Center, and Patriot Center.
